Dolphin Suicide On The Beaches of Iran-Why?

Of all of the places in the world that a mass suicide of marine mammals could take place, the beaches of Iran seem an oddly poignant place in light of recent world affairs. The political buzz about a possible attack on Iran is very high. In a recent article from the "Deseret Morning News" Lee Hamilton, co-chairman of the Iraq Study Group is quoted as saying:

"The rhetoric is escalating, and one of the things I think is important now is to dial down the rhetoric. You're in a situation now that is dangerous, and you've got to be careful."

"President Bush warned of 'World War III' if Iran is allowed to have nuclear weapons, and Vice President Dick Cheney threatened 'serious consequences' if the Iranian government did not abandon efforts to get them."

For one who believes in synchronicity, (experience of two or more events which occur in a meaningful manner, but which are causally unrelated.) one might lead themselves to think the dolphins might well be giving us a sign that a war with Iran would be suicide. There may, of course, be a more mundane explanation.

At the end of last month, 79 striped dolphins were found dead on the shore near the port of Jask in southern Iran, and just last week another 73 dolphins were found beached in the same area. According to reports, people tried to physically point the dolphins back out to sea but they returned to the beach to die. According to a recent article from iol, a South African news publication, the Iranian government is blaming the suicide on exploitative fishing practices. According to the article Iran's deputy head for environmental protection Mohammad Baqer Nabavi said:

"We are basing our hypothesis for the suicide on fishing - either nets left at the bottom of the Persian Gulf or the big fishing nets that ships spread. They are marine animals but they need to come up to surface and breathe"

Oddly, the same article which reports the dolphins were on the shore alive quotes an official who claims the dolphins have been smothered in fishing nets implying they washed ashore already dead. Even more odd is to imply that a group of dolphins that large would be suffocated in nets and wash ashore in large groups at the same place and time.

If we put the fishing net theory aside, that leaves us with another, somewhat more sinister cause of the dolphin suicide. One must assume that the US Military currently has a strong presence in the region, which may well include a nuclear submarine equipped with low frequency sonar. Many have speculated over the years that large, marine mammal beaching events have been caused by the effects of LFAS (Low Frequency Active Sonar) which allows the detection of modern, near silent, submarines by sending out low frequency pulses which bounce off the surface of underwater objects. LFAS has become a battle between conservationists and the military for many years now and, officially, its effects on marine life are still undetermined.

We are a little surprised that Iran hasn't jumped all over the above speculation about LFAS from US submarines being the cause of the dolphin suicide especially considering the current war of words between the two countries and considering the global speculation that an US attack on Iran is imminent. When we also consider Iran's President's penchant for taking any opportunity to trash talk the US one might expect to hear such accusations emerge at any time.

Whatever the cause for the dolphin suicide, the timing is the most striking. Don't be surprised when you wake up on a bright sunny day, rub your eyes, sip your coffee and pop on the TV set to hear that war has begun....

Comet Holmes Amazingly Brightens In A Matter of Hours

Comet Holmes mysteriously exploded in brightness in a matter of hours according to sky-watchers.

Can you see it from your back yard? Yes!

How do I find it? You ask...

It appears somewhat yellowish in color and is very bright. We are looking at it from a suburban setting and it is quite visible. Look straight down to the horizon from a big W of stars "Cassiopeia" and you will see something bright that looks somewhat off color for a star. That's comet Holmes!

If we were to make a star map it would look like this: Holmes is the thing at the bottom circled in red.

As comets have throughout history been believed to portend major earthly events to come, we had to run out to the back yard to have a look ourselves. Keep in mind that the object was invisible to the naked eye a short time ago; it increased in brightness some half a million times in three hours! With a simple, everyday name like Holmes, the comet has to feel like something we already know...like the Holmes' down the street, right? It may well be a harbinger of great changes in human history. The full moon is near perigee and some earthquake predictors think that could mean big shaking ahead. California is burning down and some end-timers think that is well deserved. Keep your eye on the sky for the truth will come to you as a speck of dust on your bottom eyelid. You know what's happening and no one on the Internet can explain it to you. The Apocalypse Times are upon us, do not fear: it's just another day.

We have posted some of the photos we took below; click on the photo itself to have a closer look. Comet Holmes is the brightest dot in the center of the photos. Currently, comet Holmes does not have a tail it just looks like a bright star. According to a site called the Cosmic Mirror:

A most amazing eruption is occurring on comet Holmes which was at 17 mag. at best but on October 24 suddenly began to brighten like crazy: Now (afternoon UTC) it has already reached 3rd magnitude and is easily visible to the naked eye, as reports from Japan indicate: "Perseus does not look 'Perseus' familiar to us due to the bright stellar object now." The comet looks like a bright, yellow star, and only magnification reveals a fuzzy coma around the dusty core. Holmes was discovered in 1892 thanks to a similar outburst, and hope is that the further development will be similar now: the coma should expand over time but stay bright for a week or more. "Following the initial stages of the [1892] outburst, the comet's total magnitude faded only very slowly and it remained visible to the unaided eye for about 3 weeks," advises comet guru John Bortle: "During this interval the coma expanded dramatically (as might be expected), reaching 20'-30' in size before its outer regions began to drop below the sky background." Moreover, there was a second outburst "of almost equal amplitude to the first one, about 75 days following its 1892 November brightening. Thus, I would urge everyone to watch very carefully for a possible repeat of this secondary event about the turn of the year.

Is MRSA Really Your Worst Enemy?

It is impossible to run from bacteria, much less hide! For this reason, the human family hasn't had it good against bacteria for a very long time. If it hadn't been for providence, luck or the grace of God we'd still be dropping dead in droves from common infections.

Modern antibiotics have been around for a relatively short time in human history. The discovery of penicillin by Sir Alexander Fleming occurred in 1928; he observed a mold which had grown by chance on a staphylococcus culture. The mold had surprisingly constructed a bacteria free zone around itself. The Scottish born researcher had stumbled upon a substance which would lengthen countless lives, especially after mass-production was refined during World War II. By the time the human devastation of D-Day was happening, thousands were being saved from once deadly gangrene with penicillin. Deadly and frightening diseases like pneumonia, tuberculosis and syphilis became curable and surgery became a safe endeavor. To hear of someone today, dying of bacterial pneumonia would be shocking to us; but, it is happening. It is now widely known that once treatable diseases are becoming resistant to the miracle drugs of the past.

Antibiotic resistance first began to emerge not long after the drugs were put into wide use. It was in the 1950s that a form of staphylococcus know as S Aureus 80/81 was discovered in hospital maternity wards all over the world. Attempts were made to limit the use of antibiotics as researchers began to realize that bacteria had the ability to evolve immunity to antibiotics.

So what can we expect? Until a new silver bullet is discovered to fight the "superbugs", once thought of as eradicated afflictions will kill healthy people. Sadly, the recent death of a healthy 17 year old Virginia boy has slapped us in the face with that truth. We will see things like c. difficile, pneumonia and staph take people down in droves as they once did before the era of antibiotics was born.

A story ran recently on CNN that MRSA had been discovered in other Virginia schools. Well of course it had! No matter how many times schools are cleaned, hospitals are sanitized or hands are washed the bugs will survive. They will continue to fight for survival by acquiring resistance to any new drug that emerges and hide from our feeble attempts to flush them out with anti-bacterial soaps, bleach based cleaners or alcohol hand scrubs. Bacteria survive in the most hostile of earthly environments and they may well survive us.

In bygone days our leaders once comforted us with phrases like, "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself"; yet today the newscasts we watch and the political pronouncements we hear are seething with hopelessness and chastising warnings that our imminent death is coming sooner than we think unless we take the recommended precautions. If you think that you can run from MRSA, forget it. So what must you do? Stand and fight! Fight bravely each and every day and never give up hope that peace is available to you. Fear really is your worst enemy and to spend your precious and limited time on this earth being frightened of bacteria is an insult to your soul, the ultimate in vanity, perhaps downright blasphemy.

Face your fear; distraction is no true escape. You won't stop panicking while watching a America's Funniest Home Videos, especially if you don't flip during the commercials. Look at your fear through a microscope and try to understand what your fear really represents. To know your enemy intimately is to know how to destroy him whether he is MRSA, a heart attack, or an earthquake.

The Apocalypse Times is not about running away...it is about running towards.

How do I survive the end times?

You can't. The whole point of "end times" is for you to understand that you can't survive it. The whole concept is for you to realize that you are more than just a body; you are spirit. End times is about confronting your fear, finding the warrior inside of you and fighting until the end. End times is about beginning, about discovery, about spirit and about conquest. The biggest war that you have to fight is the one against yourself, against your ego, the war about the fear of death. If you read the stories on this site and wonder how you can protect yourself against all of the threats, then you are a fool. You cannot hide from death, it will find you on the most sunny day in the happiest time of your life. Death is your birthright. Death is not something to fear, it is your new beginning. Be brave and face the Apocalypse Times as your friend. Don' t laugh at it, death is a monster that you must fight, only the most weak give in to it through suicide. The Apocalypse Times are a time of unveiling, not a time of fear and sadness. The Apocalypse Times are a time for you to find your true spiritual strength. Do not read our page in fear, read it in bravery. Those who have found this site are the warriors, the teachers, the intelligentsia of the times to come. The pain will be unbearable, that is where you discover the real strength that you have. The emptiness will be unfathomable, that is where you find the only thing you have left to fight with is love. Love isn't a sacrifice, it is a gift. Sacrifice isn't losing something, it's pure faith. Breathe one deep breath without care and you will know. Prayers are a fighting tool, keep them until the end. When everything you think you have is gone you will find the real source of strength...nothing.

ET Wars! Are We Caught In The Middle?

Some stories are just outlandish enough to seem true. This story of extraterrestrial combat in space is just that, outlandish but extremely interesting! According to claims in a video posted on YouTube, the Space Shuttle Columbia which crashed on February 1st, 2003 was deliberately shot down by either hostile ET intelligence or a rogue test of some munitions system, e.g. the U.S. “Star Wars”. David Sereda, a filmmaker and UFO buff, has compiled the twelve minute exposé based on opinions of experts in the field of other worldly contact. He also claims to have copies of photographs which have been concealed from the public. The photographs show a strange, purple beam surrounding the trail of the shuttle as it passes through the open shutter of the still camera.

The Shuttle Columbia crash of 2003 had been blamed on damage to the Thermal Protection System consisting of heat resistant thermal tiles to protect the underside of the hull of the ship from the heat of re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. While the above claims may seem freaky, it is interesting to note that on August 21st, of 2007 the Space Shuttle Endeavor landed safely despite damage to its Thermal Protection System.

Panama--Mystery Illness Revisited

Dozens have dropped dead in Panama. We posted a story on our front page regarding the outbreak of this mystery illness in a remote region of Panama. According to the report, the illness had killed at least ten people and hospitalized nearly seventy more. Reports from Panamanian media had been reporting a much higher death toll at around fifty persons. Most of the victims were indigenous children under the age of five years old. Symptoms were flu-like with coughing, fever and difficulty breathing.

Since the incident was first reported no final explanation has been brought forward. The UN speculates that the deaths were merely a side-effect of malnutrition. In a Reuters story posted on October 5th the head of UNICEF in Panama was quoted:

"There is a virus, but it is not something rare. It is a virus that is known and that occurs each winter in the mountains."

It was almost exactly one year ago that reports of deaths from a mystery illness were emerging from Panama. Twenty one people died in the "outbreak" which was later determined to have been caused by tainted medicines. The cough syrups and other liquid remedies had been poisoned with diethylene glycol, a deadly substance which is a common ingredient in anti-freeze.
Panamanian officials were of the opinion that the substance had been added to the medicines intentionally since there appeared to be no legitimate reason why such a substance could accidentally find its way into medicines. Pharmaceutical companies do not routinely keep diethylene glycol around as a supplement to medication....or, do they? According to U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Control) the medicines were "government made".

In a lengthy article on the CDC website details are given of how good old-fashioned detective work ruled out any contagious source for the deadly Panamanian outbreak in 2006 and makes mention of a similar case in Haiti that stretched over months from November 1995 to June 1996:

"In that episode, 109 children sustained a variety of toxic effects including acute renal failure. Of 87 children who stayed in Haiti, 85 died—a death toll of 98%. Of the 11 children evacuated to the United States, eight survived. An investigation initiated by Haiti's Ministry of Health, the University General Hospital in Port-au-Prince, PAHO, the Caribbean Epidemiology Center, and CDC determined that this outbreak was associated with DEG-contaminated glycerin in acetaminophen syrup."

In that case, the poisoned medicines came from China! Is that ringing a bell somewhere? In June of 2007 residents all over the globe were warned to throw out their Chinese-made toothpaste which was also tainted with the deadly substance diethyline glycol. The discovery was made by Eduardo Arias, a native Kuna Indian of Panama who carefully read his tube of toothpaste which boldly, brazenly listed the deadly ingredients.

We ask how is this deadly substance can find its way, repeatedly into the human consumption stream? We would not be surprised to find diethylene glycol to be the substance responsible for the deaths of dozens of small children again in Panama. Until then, we will wait and see what's next in the Apocalypse Times.

Rain, The Meteors Are Coming Down

Over the last two weeks meteors, fireballs, bolide meteorites, and other things have been coming down through the atmosphere like raindrops on a spring day. Is this the deadly rainstorm of chunks from space that many have spoken of as heralding the end times? We may be just nuts here at The Apocalypse Times, but the repetitive stories of fireballs over the last several days have us thinking that maybe we need a tinfoil hat or a special meteor-deflection helmet to keep us safe!

• Peru: a meteor comes down, livestock die, humans get sick in a spate of mass hysteria that explains away the possibility that something might have really happened.
  "scientists seemed to unanimously agree that it was a meteorite that had struck their territory"
• Alaska: fringe journalists report a burning light in the sky that is reported all over the state we bought from Russia....it can't be true can it?
• Finland: Crazy weirdos from Finland report seeing the brightest object in 30 years.
  
• New Jersey: A mystery fireball blows up off the coast making all residents seem nuts.
• Minnesota: Now, way-out residents of Minnesota report a fireball that is accompanied with an imagined loud boom.

So what's going on? It must all be imagined. We're all just crazies worried that a big meteorite is coming to wipe us out. We don't think so... The rainstorm of objects from the sky has started and there is no place to hide. We are riding on planet Earth as it takes us through a part of the the galaxy that is crowded with road hazards that, despite efforts of NASA, we just can't see. Get ready, because a big boom is coming to an area near you.
